Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and with individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to children while ensuring their safety, development, and well-being in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that cater to the unique needs of each child.
- Supervise daily activities, including playtime, meals, and educational activities.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children at all times.
- Collaborate with families to understand their needs and provide updates on their child's progress.
- Administer medication as required and maintain accurate records of care provided.
- Engage in memory care activities for children with developmental disabilities or special needs.
- Support children in developing social skills through group activities and interactions.
- Assist with budgeting for supplies and resources needed for childcare activities.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Assisted living or nursing home experience
- Working with people with developmental disabilities
- Alzheimer's care or dementia care
- Long-term care experience or senior care
- Home & community care experience
- Group home or retirement home experience
- Management or operations management within a caregiving setting
- Leadership roles that demonstrate supervising experience
- Ideal applicants will also have skills in social work, financial acumen, and an understanding of medication administration. A passion for providing quality childcare in a supportive environment is essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
