Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated person to join our Toddler team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Toddler Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and loving environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with Vermont Early Learning standards
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Facilitate daily activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development through play-based learning.
- Assess and monitor each child’s progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Support children with special needs by utilizing appropriate strategies for inclusion.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree, willing to train the right candidate
- Experience working with toddler age children in an educational a caregiving setting preferred
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and co workers
- Certification in First Aid/CPR is preferred but not mandatory.
- Follow all State of VT licensing requirements
