Duties
- Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are well-organized, properly labeled, and replenished regularly to meet customer demand
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Assist customers with product questions, provide product demos when applicable, and promote upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain store merchandising standards by arranging displays attractively and ensuring product placement aligns with company guidelines
- Handle cashier responsibilities with professionalism, including managing cash register operations, balancing cash drawers, and processing returns or exchanges
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering inquiries via phone etiquette, and addressing concerns promptly
- Support inventory management through stocking supplies, conducting stock checks, and assisting in inventory counts as needed
Qualifications
- Previous retail experience or familiarity with grocery stores is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers effectively
- Experience with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management
