Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop personalized care plans.
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, nursing home settings, or group homes is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
- Cooking skills for meal preparation are highly desirable.
- A background in social work or related fields can be advantageous but is not required.
