ABC Kidcare is a trusted, family-owned childcare program with 25 years of service in Skagit\Valley. We’re proud to be a Level 5 Early Achievers facility, maintaining the highest standards in early childhood education. We’ve recently expanded into a beautiful new location featuring our own children’s museum, dedicated art studio, and a spacious outdoor playground.
Licensed for just 12 children, we offer a close-knit, nurturing environment where educators can make a real impact.
The Role
We’re looking for a warm, enthusiastic Teacher to join our preschool team, working with children from birth to age five. This is a full-time, long-term position—ideal for someone passionate about early learning and building strong relationships with kids, families, and coworkers.
This role is best suited for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, can gracefully handle the occasional mess and noise of preschool life, and finds joy in the everyday magic of early childhood.

Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM – 4:45 PM
- No evenings or weekends
What You’ll Do
- Create and lead developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Provide nurturing, responsive care for children aged birth–5
- Foster a clean, safe, and joyful learning environment
- Support and mentor classroom staff
- Be a collaborative, positive part of our teamWhat We’re Looking For
Required:
- Experience working with young children
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A team-first attitude and dependable work ethic
- Resides in Skagit Valley (preferred)
- Physically able to:
- Be on your feet for extended periods
- Lift up to 40 lbs
- Sit, kneel, or play on the floor with children
Certifications:
(Required before start date — but you may apply while completing them. Many can be done online.)
- Infant & Child CPR / First Aid
- Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- Food Handler’s Permit
- 30-hour STARS Basic Training
- Clean TB test
- Completion of DCYF’s free online childcare training
- Washington State background check with fingerprinting
Compensation
- Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications (DOE)
