POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Production or Shop Manager, the incumbent will operate all bindery, copy, and color printing equipment as well assist other production areas to ensure every job is produced to client expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prints, scans, and copies jobs in accordance with instructions provided on the designated ABC ticket.
2. Serves as the first point of contact for production escalations.
3. Leads and directs workflow of digital production department in concert with the Digital Production Manager or Shop Manager
4. Assists Digital Production Manager or Shop Manager in determining department staffing requirements
5. Packages completed jobs to protect products and present a quality deliverable to our customers.
6. Partners with management to resolve any questions or discrepancies with the ABC ticket.
7. Assists other team members and managers to increase efficiency in production processes.
8. Provides back-up assistance to other production staff as needed.
9. Provides front counter assistance to customers as needed.
10. Assists in the inventory and organization of all supplies.
11. Maintains and cleans all equipment on a regular basis.
12. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 – 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Attention to detail of work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects without losing focus.
- Skilled with desktop publishing software including Fiery Command WorkSatation Imposing, all Adobe Suites and Microsoft Suites.
