Full-Time Family Assistant / Nanny — Greenwich, CT
Compensation: $40-45 per hour
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday (40 hours/week)

March 2026 (baby nurse will be in place)A warm, active family in Greenwich, CT is seeking an experienced and engaging Family Assistant / Nanny to join their household team. The family has five children, ages 11 to 2, with a new baby expected in March 2026. A baby nurse will assist with the newborn, so the Family Assistant will focus primarily on the older children and maintaining household flow.
This is a collaborative, family-oriented household that values flexibility, communication, and a calm, capable presence. The position requires strong multitasking, great organization, and the ability to manage busy after-school and weekend routines.
Key Responsibilities Childcare (Primary)
- Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for children ages 2–11.
- Engage in creative play, outdoor activities, and structured routines.
- Manage after-school pickups, activities, and evening routines.
- Assist with meals, bath time, and bedtime transitions.
- Support a smooth adjustment when the new baby arrives (no infant care required while baby nurse is present).
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and consistent environment.
Family Support & Household Assistance
- Help with driving children daily, tidying play areas, and light household organization.
- Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children.
- Run errands related to the children’s schedules and activities.
- Collaborate with parents and other household staff to ensure seamless days.
- Follow a provided weekly work schedule, adjusting to rotating responsibilities with 2–3 children at a time.
Schedule & Structure
- Tuesday–Saturday schedule (Sundays and Mondays off). 40 hours per week guaranteed
- Tuesday–Thursday: 2 PM–9 PM
- Friday & Saturday: 12-hour days
- Weekly schedule provided in advance — you will never be responsible for all children at once, typically caring for 2–3 at a time.
Qualifications
- 5 years of professional childcare experience in private homes.
- Experience with multiple children and varying age groups (toddler to preteen).
- Energetic, patient, and team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing routines.
- Comfortable collaborating with parents and other staff.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Fully vaccinated and authorized to work in the U.S.
Compensation & Benefits
