Outside Lawn Sales Representative

Description

As a Lawn Sales Representative at ABC Home & Commercial Services, you will promote and sell our full suite of lawn services, including lawn maintenance and lawn care, to residential homeowners and select commercial properties. You will play an essential role in growing the Lawn Division by identifying prospects, understanding their outdoor needs, and recommending customized service solutions while providing exceptional customer service and representing ABC with professionalism and integrity.  

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform onsite lawn evaluations for residential and commercial customers. 
• Identify turf issues such as weeds, disease, insects, bare spots, and drought stress. 
• Recommend services including fertilization, weed control, aeration, top dressing, irrigation improvements, and seasonal programs. 
• Communicate products and service features/advantages/benefits clearly and accurately. 
• Follow up with prospective customers by phone, email, and inperson visits. 
• Prepare simple estimates within 24 hours and complex estimates within 48–72 hours. 
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service. 
• Complete all required documentation before, during, and after sales calls. 
• Meet assigned sales goals and performance metrics. 
• Look for crossdivisional sales opportunities. 
• Maintain a professional appearance and follow ABC safety and customer service standards. 

TDA License Requirements: 

All Lawn Sales Representatives must: 

• Obtain the Texas Department of Agriculture Lawn & Ornamental License within the timeframe designated by ABC Training. 
• Maintain all required state licenses and CEUs as mandated by TDA. 
• Follow all TDA and state regulatory standards when discussing regulated lawn care services. 
• Failure to obtain or maintain license requirements may result in reassignment or removal from the position. 

Requirements

• 1–2 years of lawn maintenance or lawn care experience preferred. 
• Ability to diagnose turf, weed, disease, and insect issues. 
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to listen and understand customer concerns and provide appropriate recommendations. 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, email, smartphone, and tablet usage. 
• Strong organization and time management skills. 
• Must hold a valid Texas Driver’s License. 
• Successful completion of background check and drug screen. 
• Must have proper documentation to work in the U.S. 

Physical Demands (with or without accommodations):

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. 
• Must be able to walk properties, climb, kneel, squat, and bend frequently. 
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 
• Comfortable navigating uneven terrain, lawns, and landscaped areas. 
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods. 

Driver's Responsibilities:

• Operate a company vehicle safely and efficiently following all company and state regulations. 
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance including tire checks, oil changes, and cleanliness. 
• Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all ABC fleet policies. 
• Report any accidents or driving incidents to management immediately. 
• Ensure all company property inside the vehicle is secured and properly maintained. 

Salary:

• Annual base salary ranges from $38,000.00 to $42,000.00, based on experience
