Lawn Maintenance Foreman

Description

A Lawn Maintenance Foreman plays a vital role in overseeing and participating in the comprehensive lawn maintenance services for residential and commercial properties. This role involves leading a team, transporting them to job sites, and ensuring the efficient and high-quality completion of all lawn maintenance tasks.  

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Lead and supervise a team of lawn maintenance laborers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards. 
• Drive team members and equipment to various residential and commercial properties.  
• Perform mowing, edging, weeding, and leaf blowing according to industry best practices and local regulations.  
• Safely operate a variety of equipment, including push and riding mowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, and blowers, ensuring they are maintained and stored properly.  
• Practice daily cleaning protocols for the designated truck and ensure all equipment is stored securely after each use.  
• Provide timely and accurate reports on job site conditions, equipment concerns, team performance, and other relevant information to the supervisor.  
• The workday starts at 7:00 AM.  

Requirements

• Valid driver's license in the State of Texas. 
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in lawn maintenance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role preferred with commercial maintenance 
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while also leading and motivating others.  
• Good physical fitness and stamina required for outdoor manual labor.  
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and landscape equipment safely and efficiently.  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.  

Physical Demands (with or without accommodations) are not limited to: 

• Primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, sun).  
• Physically demanding work involving lifting, bending, carrying, and operating equipment.  
• Working hours may vary depending on project schedules and seasonal demands.  
• Potential exposure to dust, dirt, and allergens.  

Driver's Responsibilities: 

• Operates a company vehicle safely and efficiently, following pre-assigned daily routes.  
• Assumes responsibility for basic vehicle maintenance, including tire condition, replacement, brake checks, and timely oil changes.  
• Maintains strict adherence to all safety protocols and relevant driving regulations, reporting any work-related injuries immediately to designated supervisors.  
• Complies with established company vehicle usage policies and upholds a clean driving record.  
• Promptly reports any auto accidents to the Service Manager within one hour of occurrence.  
• Maintains an active Texas driver's license and provides updated copies to Human Resources.  

Pay: 

• Training pay: $17.00 per hour
• Post-Training Pay: 20-23% production pay based on experience
