JOB TITLE: Behavioral Specialist FLSA: Non‑Exempt
SUMMARY
The Behavioral Specialist supports ABC Foster Family Agency (FFA) by providing trauma‑informed behavioral interventions, case management assistance, and skill‑building services to children, youth, and resource families. Responsibilities are carried out in alignment with CDSS Title 22, the Interim Licensing Standards (ILS), and the agency’s Plan of Operation. The Behavioral Specialist works under direct supervision and collaborates with management, social workers, county placing agencies, and resource parents to promote safety, permanency, and well‑being for youth in approved homes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelors in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Social Welfare, Human Services, Behavioral Sciences, or related fields.
Experience
- Minimum one year of full-time experience providing direct services in social services, mental health, healthcare, or child welfare settings.
