Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring they align with developmental milestones and curriculum standards such as literacy education, math, and physical education.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods, early intervention strategies, and inclusive practices for children with special needs.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high-quality childcare standards and effective classroom management.
- Foster positive behavior management techniques to promote social skills, emotional regulation, and respectful interactions among children.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development.
- Maintain accurate records of children's developmental progress, standardized testing results when applicable, and daily activity logs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while creating a warm, welcoming environment that supports childhood development and overall well-being.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
- Two years Infant classroom experience in a licensed facility is a must.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management, behavior management strategies, and childhood development principles.
- Prior experience in toddler care or infant classrooms is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention techniques, and literacy education is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a classroom effectively while fostering a nurturing environment for young learners.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields; Montessori training or preschool experience is a plus.
