About the Role:
ABC Docks LLC is looking for a skilled Overhead Door & Dock Equipment Technician to join our growing team in Franklin, TN. This is a hands-on field role where you'll be the expert our commercial and industrial customers rely on to keep their operations running smoothly. Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and repair overhead doors, dock levelers, dock seals, and related loading dock equipment
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on commercial and industrial door systems
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections on dock equipment and overhead door systems
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic dock levelers
- Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner across the greater Nashville, TN area
- Communicate effectively with customers on-site regarding repairs, timelines, and recommendations
- Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory, and work orders
Requirements:
- Prior experience with overhead doors, loading dock equipment, or related mechanical/industrial systems preferred
- Basic electrical knowledge, including low-voltage wiring and motor operators
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and equipment manuals
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable working at heights, in tight spaces, and in varying weather conditions
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a self-motivated, problem-solving mindset
- Excellent customer service and professional communication skills
