Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the retail team, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating staff to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
- Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, stock replenishment, and maintaining optimal product displays.
- Manage sales targets by implementing effective sales strategies, monitoring performance metrics, and motivating team members to achieve goals.
- Handle payroll processing, cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems operation, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Conduct employee orientation sessions and ongoing training to develop team skills in customer service, product knowledge, and operational procedures.
- Maintain inventory control through regular stock audits, purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and inventory management systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and store standards while fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and communication.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail store management with strong leadership capabilities in supervising teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and effectively manage managerial responsibilities.
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, bookkeeping tools, and basic math skills for financial transactions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and operational management to maximize profitability.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing candidates, employee orientation, training & development programs.
- Knowledge of retail industry sales techniques such as merchandising, marketing initiatives, wireless sales (if applicable), and grocery or specialty store operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, perform cash handling accurately, and oversee shift management duties.
