Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and social/emotional learning where applicable.
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Plan and execute daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and developmental milestones.
- Support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention by adapting activities and collaborating with specialists.
- Maintain accurate records of child development progress, conduct assessments, and prepare reports for parents and guardians.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to safeguard children’s safety at all times.
- Foster open communication with parents through regular updates on their child's progress and classroom activities.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and preschool teaching strategies.
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention program.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists effectively.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and child development instruction.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.
