What are the responsibilities and job description for the OLCC Cannabis Farm Worker position at ABC Business Solutions LLC?
We are looking for a reliable and punctual individual, with a positive attitude towards work, does not cut corners, and pays attention to details. Must be able to take direction well to work cooperatively in a team and also independently. Ability to lift 40# consistently required. Experience/skills with farm equipment, irrigation, electrical, minor construction are a plus. *Minimum 1 year previous OLCC cannabis farm experience required. Must have reliable transportation and an ACTIVE OLCC Marijuana Workers Permit. Must be able to drive manual stick-shift vehicle.*
Work is general outdoor cannabis farm labor, including spring cloning, up-potting and planting; training/trellising plants, topping/bottoming. Also field prep, weeding/weed-whacking, installing/repairing shade covers/hoops/T-posts, repairing/installing irrigation. Several months will be dedicated to spraying for insects and foliar feeding in the evening/night, and pulling tarps on ~200 relatively small hoops. Fall harvest work with trim quality control work over the winter.
Full-time position. We are currently working a regular 8-hr day shift, but for a few months of the season we will change to a split shift (4 hours in morning and 4 hours in late evening), with *weekend availability required. Applicant MUST be able to meet our shift schedule needs.* Position to be full-time throughout the year.
Starting pay is $18/hr, increasing to $20 during the split shift season. Performance will be evaluated after 3-6 months and every year for additional pay increases.
