ABC & LOL, LLC i s seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Toddler Teacher to work with our team in providing high-quality care and early education for toddlers. The Assistant Teacher will work alongside the Lead Toddler Teacher to create a positive, nurturing, and engaging environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development for young children.
Duties
- Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that support the physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of toddlers.
- Support the Lead Teacher in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
- Supervise and engage toddlers during playtime, meals, and activities.
- Foster positive and respectful interactions with toddlers to support their social skills and emotional development.
- Follow all center policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children’s needs and progress.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with diapering, potty training, and other personal care needs as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); fundamentals or a 3 credit college course or being willing to complete within in 1 year of hire
- Experience working with toddlers or young children in a childcare or early education setting is preferred but will train the right person
- Understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices for toddlers.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Complete VT Orientation upon hire
- Mandated Reporting upon hire
- Cvil Rights training up on hire
- Background check and fingerprint clearance (required).
