We are looking for a proactive and organized Dock Supervisor for our second shift to oversee warehouse operations and ensure efficient distribution processes. SUMMARY
The 2nd Shift Dock Supervisor is responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving operations during second shift, ensuring efficient coordination of dock activities, personnel, and product flow. This role provides leadership to dock employees, supports load planning, maintains accurate inventory tracking, and ensures all operations are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties for this job include the following but other duties may be assigned.
- Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; promote a strong safety culture on the dock
- Supervise, coach, and support dock employees to ensure productivity, accountability, and teamwork
- Coordinate and prioritize daily workloads to meet shipping and production schedules
- Oversee loading and unloading of trucks to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and product integrity
- Develop and execute load plans to maximize space utilization and meet delivery timelines
- Maintain accurate, real-time inventory of finished goods and staged product
- Monitor dock flow to prevent bottlenecks and production disruptions
- Communicate effectively with production, scheduling, and warehouse teams to align operations
- Ensure proper documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance with shipping/receiving procedures
- Operate forklift equipment as needed and ensure team members are certified and operate safely
- Address and resolve operational issues, staffing challenges, or product discrepancies in a timely manner
- Train new employees and reinforce standard operating procedures
Pay: $50,966.27 - $60,000.00 per year
