Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes or concerns
- Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition
- Use patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient observations, and adherence to resident rights
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
Skills
- Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health settings is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care practices
- Ability to perform patient monitoring and assist with specialized needs such as autism spectrum disorder or neurodevelopmental disorders
- Proficiency in using care equipment like Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and first aid/CPR certification is essential
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities is a plus

Pay: $9.00 - $12.16 per hour
