The base pay for this position is $111,300.00 – $222,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.

As a Sales Compensation Manager you will have oversite of incentives, awards, and quotas; responsible for planning, design, payout and administration of compensation incentive plans and special incentive programs for Electrophysiology commercial field sales. Manages outsourced incentives and design vendor. Data Operations - Manage and prepare specifications for sales reporting and sales incentive calculations.
What You’ll Work On
- Reviews sales objectives, analyzes data, understands sales process and business model, and develops and recommends solutions in the areas of territory alignment, sales reps efficiency/productivity, expense management, manpower planning.
- Reviews revenue data by geography, account, product, and rep, evaluates performance, highlights key issues, and recommends areas of focus for improvement to sales management; in some instances, works with other sales functions, finance, and marketing to develop business solutions to key problems.
- Partner with Finance / HR / Sales Ops to ensure alignment on field rosters, goal setting, Inquiry resolution / exception management and related items for accurate payment for all incentive plans.
- Train Sales Leadership, Sales Management on IC plans to ensure understanding across the organization.
- Representing financial management for the geography, leads, executes and monitors results for the following financial processes:
- Annual Business Plan development comprised of:
- Revenue Plan by Product by Region, by Area
- Personnel Plan
- Overhead Expense Plan
- Quarterly Forecasts and Outlooks
- Administration of Plan Design.
- Incentive Plan Policy Administration (ie Exception Process Management).
- Calculation of Bonus Auditing.
- Incentive Compensation Reports (Monthly Financial Payout Projections).
- Presidents Club Calculations & Reports.
- Spiff Design & Approvals (Metrics, Modeling & Implications).
- Calculation / Eligibility for Spiffs.
- Works with Management, IT and Vendors to implement territory changes.
- BA / BS / Business Degree or equivalent business experience within Abbott or related industry required.
- Ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 yrs experience working with Field Sales, Marketing or Finance Area is desired.
- Solid understanding of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required.
- This position requires excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
- Initiative, innovation, teamwork, organization, action orientation and data processing skills are required to succeed in this position.
- Baseline knowledge of medical / pharmaceutical industry regulatory rules / regulations is preferred.
- MBA desirable, not required.
