The Opportunity As an EP Procedure Specialist, you will support Abbott’s industry‑leading Electrophysiology technologies—advancing the treatment of atrial fibrillation and helping patients return to healthier lives. This field‑based role in Ontario (GTA) provides hands-on clinical support, technical expertise, and strategic partnership with both customers and the Abbott Sales Team. You will be a trusted expert in EP mapping, ablation, and intracardiac imaging technologies—helping clinicians optimize outcomes while driving long-term adoption and growth of Abbott solutions. What You’ll Do Deliver expert clinical and technical support for EnSite X, and other Abbott EP technologies during electrophysiology procedures. Provide troubleshooting, in-servicing, and ongoing support to Abbott’s EP customers; oversee software/hardware updates as needed. Attend EP procedures—including mapping, ablation, ICE, and EP WorkMate/Claris systems—to ensure proper, safe, and efficient product use. Collaborate closely with Territory and Regional Managers to support business strategy, territory growth, and long-term customer partnerships. Lead customer education and training for EP physicians, staff, and Allied Health Professionals on Abbott capital systems and disposable EP tools. Contribute to national training initiatives as a speaker, educator, or developer of training materials and technical documentation. Participate in Limited Market Release (LMR) evaluations and guide first‑time users through safe and effective product adoption. Maintain deep knowledge of electrophysiology trends, competitive technologies, and Abbott’s clinical pipeline. Support operational activities, including inventory management and timely Product Experience Report submissions. Represent Abbott with professionalism, ensuring a strong and positive customer perception of the brand. Travel within Canada (up to 40%) for case support, education programs, and regional/national meetings. Required Qualifications 1–3 years of relevant experience. Completion of a two-year Cardiovascular Technology Diploma Program, Preferred Experience with cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology Demonstrated advanced skills in ECG Interpretation Demonstrated ability to use electrophysiology recording and mapping systems Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel up to 40% within the territory. Effective time management skills, ability to organize work and set priorities Effective verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment Demonstrated commitment to continuing education Preferred Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build trust, influence decision-making, and establish credibility with customers. Comfort working in dynamic, ambiguous clinical environments. Excellent problem‑solving, time‑management, and organizational skills. Demonstrated success working collaboratively within a team. Intermediate mathematical and analytical skills (e.g., ratios, percentages, graph interpretation). Willingness to travel on occasional weekends for meetings or case support.
