The Opportunity This position works out of our Costa Rica – Alajuela location in the Structural Heart Division. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease. As the Manufacturing Engineer III, you will develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implementsimprovements to production processes, methods and controls; is also responsible for the activities related to instalation and validation of production lines as well as the lifecycle managment of equipment. What You’ll Do Daily support to the manufacturing activities in order to meet established goals for safety, quality, cost and production. Based on key performance indicators data such as yield, nonconforming material or leadtime. If indicators show an adverse trend, works with the functional team to plan and implement appropiate changes. Performs installation/validation activities for new or existent production lines, meeting regulatory requirements. Identifies, selects, and purchases equipment/fixtures according to production requirements, due to obsolescence, redundancy or line capacity expansion. Has direct relation with vendors to define equipment suitability. Maintains manufacturing systems such as SAP routers and BOM's current. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in STEM careers. 4 years of working experience on similar roles. Statistical techniques knowledge (DOE, SPC). Willing to travel. Familiar with Lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement Knowledge of FDA, GMP and ISO guidelines. Experience leading validation plans for medical industry products and processes and leading root cause problem solving methodologies. Computer software knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point). Fully Bilingual English/ Spanish language. Shift B: Monday to Friday: 3:30pm - 10:00pm and Saturday: 8:00am to 3:30pm Preferred Qualifications • 1-3 years of experience on medical device industry desired. • Performance management.
