Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our Finance team. This role supports the accurate management, verification, and reporting of fixed assets, ensuring proper capitalization, depreciation, and disposal in compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with recording and tracking fixed asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals
- Support monthly and quarterly close activities related to fixed assets, including depreciation runs and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the fixed asset subledger
- Perform physical asset verification and tagging across various locations to ensure asset integrity and compliance
- Collaborate with project owners and finance teams to ensure timely capitalization of assets
- Prepare audit documentation and support internal and external audit requests
- Participate in system enhancements and process improvements related to fixed asset accounting
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting policies
- Generate fixed asset reports and analysis for management review
- Prepare manual journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance (internship or exposure to fixed assets is a plus)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, or other ERP systems is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
