The Director of Operations provides strategic direction, mentorship, and oversight to the project management team—particularly the US Operations Manager/Project Manager—while also being willing to step in directly when needed to keep projects on track.
This role requires a balance of high-level operational leadership and hands-on problem solving, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, all while protecting margins and strengthening client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership
- Oversee the full US project delivery function, ensuring all projects meet or exceed client expectations for schedule, budget, quality, and communication.
- Establish and refine best practices for project management, procurement, and installation, ensuring alignment with global company standards.
- Act as the senior escalation point for major project challenges, client concerns, or vendor issues, intervening as needed to resolve risks.
- Team Management & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop the US project management team, including the Operations Manager/Project Manager, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and proactive communication.
- Manage and coach the Warehouse Manager and warehouse team, ensuring efficient operations and accurate inventory records.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement professional development plans to ensure the team continuously improves.
- Promote a "lead by example" approach by being willing to step into the trenches with the team during peak project demands or critical moments.
- Financial Performance
- Own responsibility for US operational P&L, with a focus on margin protection, cost management, and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to maximize gross profit without compromising quality or client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to ensure accurate scoping, resourcing, and budgeting of projects.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent operations leadership in key client meetings, building and strengthening relationships that enhance trust and long-term partnerships.
- Champion a client-first mindset across the operations team, ensuring all interactions reinforce the company's reputation for service and reliability.
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic growth initiatives, including expansion opportunities, vendor partnerships, and operational scaling.
- Process & Risk Management
- Define, monitor, and continuously improve operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
- Oversee project risk management and escalation protocols, ensuring early intervention when issues arise.
- Align procurement, logistics, warehouse operations, and installation processes with project lifecycles to minimize delays and disruptions.
Key Skills and Capabilities Required
- Proven leadership experience in operations, project management, or related field, preferably within design, construction, or furniture industries.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, margins, and operational P&L.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to represent the company professionally in client, vendor, and internal meetings.

- Based in Los Angeles, with frequent travel to project sites and vendor locations.
- Full-time, 42.5 hours per week, with flexibility required during peak project demands.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required; travel expenses reimbursable.
Pay: $125, $205,000.00 per year
