This is a full-time on-site role at Abbot Art’s facility in Farmingdale, NY, for a Packaging and Shipping Specialist. Responsibilities include safely and efficiently packing and preparing various artwork and products for shipment, ensuring proper packaging design and quality control to prevent damage in transit. Additional duties involve coordinating with team members to meet shipping deadlines, performing regular quality inspections, and adhering to packaging standards for both large-scale and custom orders.
- Experience in Packing and Packaging Design
- Knowledge of Packaging Engineering and Quality Control processes
- Ability to perform Research to identify and apply the best materials and methods for packaging
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage time efficiently
- Capacity for physical tasks, including lifting and moving items safely
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, shipping, or logistics role is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in packaging or logistics are beneficial
