Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing personalized recommendations and ensuring an enjoyable experience.
- Manage POS systems for accurate order processing, billing, and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies, following food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring accurate cashiering and retail math calculations.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible serving practices in compliance with alcohol service regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for food service coordination during events like banquets or catering functions.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables or bar stations without compromising quality or speed.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels of beverages, garnishes, and supplies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order entry and transaction processing.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods using excellent multitasking skills.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totaling.
- Knowledge of beverage preparation techniques including brewing coffee or tea if applicable in the venue setting.
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly in accordance with legal regulations; certification may be required depending on jurisdiction.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events such as banquets or catering functions.
