What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Utility Technician (weekend shift) position at Abbiamo Pasta Co.?
Job Summary:
As a Production Utility Technician, you will support multiple areas of our pasta manufacturing operation to ensure smooth and efficient production. This hands-on role involves assisting with ingredient handling, equipment support, packaging, and quality control tasks. You’ll work closely with operators and quality team to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of performing a variety of duties in a fast-paced setting.
Schedule: Friday - Sunday 3pm-3am
work 36 hours, paid for 40 hours
Daily Responsibilities:
- Assist Press Operators with measurements and production adjustments
- Help with dumping ingredients, restocking materials, and switching ingredients as needed
- Monitor regrind levels and ensure the system remains adequately filled
- Package product according to production needs and quality standards
- Support Quality and Production teams with retoting and relabeling tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
- Operate equipment such as cardboard balers, floor sweepers, and floor scrubbers
- Safely operate a forklift to move, organize, and store product as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Prior manufacturing or food production experience preferred
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable operating machinery and forklifts (certification is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices
- Willingness to assist across departments
