What are the responsibilities and job description for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst position at Abbey Hill?
This role ensures that each child receives individualized, evidence-based interventions designed to improve communication, adaptive skills, daily living skills, behavior regulation, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Treatment Planning
- Conduct functional behavior assessments, skill assessments, and ongoing evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment data.
- Set measurable goals aligned with the child's strengths, needs, and developmental level.
Intervention & Direct Support
- Provide ABA-based therapy and model effective intervention techniques.
- Observe sessions to ensure implementation fidelity and provide corrective feedback.
- Adapt strategies to meet the needs of children with varying levels of intellectual disability.
Parent, Staff, and Caregiver Training
- Provide hands-on training, coaching, and ongoing support to parents, teachers, and support staff.
- Lead workshops or skill-building sessions to strengthen caregiver capacity.
- Communicate progress, concerns, and recommendations clearly and professionally.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation including session notes, assessments, and progress reports.
- Analyze data to make data-driven decisions and adjust treatment plans as needed.
