Abbeville General Hospital is hiring for a Floor Technician Position: Full-time Floor Technician Position for Housekeeping Department.
Position(s) Avaliable:
- Floor technician (3p-11:30p) - One (1) Avaliable
Floor Technician Summary:
The Floor Technician will clean, buff and wax all facility floors, to include patient rooms on occasion, in an attempt to promote environmental safety and patient satisfaction.
- Dust mop, damp mop and/or vacuum floors as assigned
- Buff floors and/or extract carpets
- Strip and wax floors according to schedule
- Cleans and maintains entrances as assigned
- Fill in for trash/linen employee(s) as scheduled/needed
- Assist in additional task such as office/furniture moves
All work is to be performed in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures.
Floor Technician Required Experience:
- Previous commercial floor care / cleaning experience preferred
Floor Technician Educational Requirements:
- GED or high school graduate (preferred)
Floor Technician Physical Requirements:
- Medium Work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor constitutes a maximum lift of 21-50 pounds on occasion and/or a maximum lift of 11-25 pounds on a frequent basis
- May be required to assist in the turning, lifting, or moving patients as well as walking about from patients’ rooms, as well as to and from various hospital areas
