- Collaborate with teachers to plan, implement, and refine effective instructional strategies.
- Aids teachers in developing a schedule that allows adequate time to deliver instruction.

identified areas of need. - Assists principal and staff in monitoring the progress of student's data throughout the year.

Assists teachers in identifying or developing appropriate alternative strategies for
grouping. - Provide professional learning and facilitating data discussions.
- Works with individual and small groups of students on an as needed basis.
- ?Support curriculum alignment and the implementation of district and state academic standards.
- Serve as the school testing coordinator and administering assessments to students as required.
- Coordinates the textbook adoption process with principals and teachers in the schools.
- ?Works with principals and teachers to implement state and local academic achievement standards.
- Assist with the analysis of student achievement data to inform instructional decisions.
- Coordinates services for ESL students.
- Facilitate professional learning communities (PLCs) and school-based staff development.
- Mentor beginning teachers and support induction and mentoring programs.
- Assist the principal in the day-to-day leadership and management of school operations.
- Support the implementation of school-wide behavior expectations and discipline procedures.
- Help develop and implement school improvement goals and monitor progress toward academic targets.
- Participate in teacher observations, walkthroughs, and evaluations as assigned.

Plans and works cooperatively with other instructional specialists and their principals to
ensure a well-coordinated curriculum by participating in district meetings, attending
relevant workshops and conferences and sharing information with other teachers. - Communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and community stakeholders.
- Support the scheduling and coordination of assessments, special programs, and school events.
- Serve as acting principal in the absence of the principal.
- Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and the Board of Education policies.
- Valid South Carolina educator certification
- Masters in administration/supervision preferred
- Five years teaching experience
- ?Experience in coaching or school leadership preferred
- Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment best practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead adult learners and facilitate professional learning
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to equity and continuous improvement.

INSTRUCTIONAL COACH
Diamond Hill Elementary School 200 Day Contract
Reports to: Principal
Purpose: The Instructional Coach is a dual-role leadership position that supports both instructional excellence and school operations. This individual will serve as a collaborative partner with the Principal and teachers to improve instructional practices and student outcomes while also supporting the Principal in the daily administrative needs of the school. The successful candidate will foster a culture of continuous improvement, high expectations, and equity for all students.
