What are the responsibilities and job description for the Government Contract Specialist position at ABB Inc.?
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing US Government requirement compliance in Motion Service in the United States, ensuring all government regulations are provided and enforced for the Motion Service US Portfolio. You will document process flow from applicable departments and partake in those processes to ensure all requirements are met. The purpose of this position is to ensure that all government contracting opportunities and potential jobs can be executed in full compliance with all applicable government regulations, all won government-funded jobs are executed compliantly, all required documentation is maintained for audit capability.
This position reports toDirector, Portfolio Management
Your responsibilities- Provide guidance to Business Unit team members on steps within the review process for quotes and steps within the delivery process to flow down requirements throughout the business
- Provide guidance to Business Unit team members on Document and keep updated process flow documents for internal processes for US government orders
- Work along side project management team to ensure all projects are closed out within regulations
- Ensure each government job has the necessary documents in place for future audit readiness
- Bachelor degree OR Associate degree with 2 years experience OR high school diploma/GED with 4 years experience in Program Management or Project Management
- Sound knowledge of government regulations for suppliers in the market, preferred
- Knowledge of Salesforce and SAP, preferred
- Microsoft Office experience required
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
