Location: Salem, OR | Job Type: Full-Time Pay Range: $28–$35/hour DOE
We are seeking an experienced and safety-driven Oregon Certified Asbestos Abatement
Supervisor to lead our remediation team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management
of abatement projects—ensuring all work is performed in strict accordance with Oregon DEQ (OAR
340-248), OR-OSHA, and EPA regulations. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who prioritizes
the health of their crew and the integrity of the job site.
Key Responsibilities
• On-Site Supervision: Direct and coordinate the activities of abatement workers on
residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all containment barriers, negative pressure enclosures
(min. 6-mil plastic), and decontamination units meet Oregon DEQ standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate project logs, including daily sign-in sheets, manometer
readings, and waste shipment records (ASN-4).
• Safety Enforcement: Conduct daily safety briefings (tailgate meetings) and ensure 100%
compliance with PPE requirements, including PAPR or supplied-air systems as required.
• Project Coordination: Oversee the proper wetting, packaging (double 6-mil bagging), and
labeling of friable and non-friable asbestos waste.
• Inspections: Coordinate with third-party air monitoring firms and accredited inspectors for
final clearances.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Current Oregon DEQ Asbestos Supervisor Certification: (Required) Must be active and in
good standing.
• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory role, with documented
history on at least 10 separate friable abatement projects (per Oregon state requirements).
• Valid Driver’s License: Clean driving record for travel to job sites throughout Oregon.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces or at heights, and
wear a respirator/protective suit for extended periods in varying temperatures.
• Knowledge: Understanding of OAR 340-248 and Oregon OSHA Division 3, Subdivision I.
