Public Health Nurse – Immunization & Sexual Wellness Clinic
Pay Rate: $40/hr
Schedule: 40 hours/week | Monday–Friday | 8:15 AM – 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP upon completion of background clearance
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse to support public health initiatives through immunization services and sexual wellness clinic care. This role focuses on providing high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations while promoting health education, disease prevention, and community wellness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer vaccines in accordance with public health guidelines and protocols
- Conduct patient assessments, screenings, and medical history reviews
- Provide education regarding immunizations, sexual health, STI prevention, and disease management
- Assist with STI testing, treatment, counseling, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and medical records
- Ensure compliance with infection control procedures and safety standards
- Support clinic operations and patient flow in a fast-paced public health setting
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, case managers, and community partners to ensure accessible and culturally responsive care
- Promote a welcoming, respectful, and confidential environment for all patients
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Previous experience in public health, immunizations, women’s health, family planning, or sexual wellness preferred
- Knowledge of vaccine administration and STI testing/treatment practices
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality
- Proficient documentation and organizational skills
