Provide recovery-based peer support services and outreach to peers who are experiencing difficulties transitioning from hospitals to the community or who are experiencing difficulties that might lead to hospitalization.
Experience as a consumer of mental health or substance abuse services.
· Any combination of education (above the high school level) and/or experience equivalent to 3 years of knowledge of human services, mental health, or substance abuse, including self-knowledge and participation in self-help activities, peer support or peer advocacy programs, consumer-run organizations, or similar programs, including paid or volunteer experience with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
