Technical Engineer – AI-Driven Software Development (Vendor/Contract)

Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Software Engineer who leverages AI-assisted development to build high-quality, scalable cloud applications. The ideal candidate is passionate about using modern AI tools to accelerate software development, improve code quality, automate testing, and increase engineering productivity.
This individual is a self-starter who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, quickly learning new technologies, and delivering secure, scalable solutions in AWS. Experience with one or more modern programming languages such as Java, Go (Golang), or JavaScript is essential.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar) as an integral part of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience developing software using one or more of the following programming languages:
o Java
o Go (Golang)
o JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience designing and deploying applications in AWS.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
• Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to continuously learn new technologies and engineering practices.
