What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator- Second Shift position at Abacus Serivice Corporation?
Job Summary
Shift Hours: 2nd. Monday - Friday, 2 pm to 10 pm. Also occasional Saturdays!
Steel-toe shoes required!
Qualifications: Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and wear proper PPE: steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
**GED or High School diploma preferred but not required**
Job Description: Repetitive machine or process operation following prescribed routine. Must be able to follow directions and make adjustments to processes or machinery. Records & reports production numbers. Proficiency is usually reached in a few months. Operates equipment, including but not limited to the following manufacturing equipment: Packer, Palletizer, Forklift, Mixer, Pellet Mill, etc. Skills: Ability to follow oral and written instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one and in group settings. Ability to understand, record, and accurately verbalize detailed information. Observant, accurate, and able to follow directions. Excellent Punctuality. Solid communication skills. Great interpersonal skills. Flexible. Strong attention to detail. Basic math skills. Knowledge: Knowledge of and compliance with all safety guidelines. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Steel-toed shoes required.
