Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Pollinator and play a vital role in supporting healthy ecosystems and thriving plant environments. As a Pollinator, you will be actively involved in enhancing plant reproduction through natural pollination processes, ensuring the vitality of gardens, farms, greenhouses, and outdoor landscapes. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, gain hands-on experience in horticulture and agriculture, and contribute to environmental sustainability. Shift

Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday, 2-8 hours a day (min 2 hours for watering). Watering is from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Plus 1-3 days a week (Monday-Friday), weekdays are flexible, hours are from 7:30 am- 4 pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the pollination of various plants, flowers, fruits, and vegetables using manual techniques or by supporting natural pollinators like bees and butterflies
• Maintain and monitor plant health, identifying different species and ensuring optimal growing conditions.
• Support irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and water distribution for healthy growth
• Help with planting, pruning, fertilizing, and harvesting activities to promote vigorous plant development
• Operate hand tools and basic gardening equipment safely and efficiently during daily tasks
• Conduct outdoor inspections to identify pests, diseases, or other issues affecting plant health
• Support greenhouse operations by preparing growing environments and managing plant inventories

Experience

• Prior experience in gardening, landscaping, farming, or horticulture is highly desirable
• Familiarity with irrigation systems, greenhouse environments, or lawn care practices is a plus
• Hands-on knowledge of plant identification and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with hand tools enhances your ability to perform maintenance tasks effectively
• Outdoor work experience in farming or gardening environments demonstrates your comfort working outside in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day
