We are seeking a reliable and experienced Sales/Purchasing Assistant to join our team. This key position requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a background in administrative operations. This role also includes purchasing responsibilities and offers the opportunity to grow into inside sales by assisting with customer quotes, building client relationships, and supporting our sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle daily email correspondence with professionalism and accuracy
- Process customer orders and maintain accurate order entry records
- Manage purchasing activities, including vendor communication, placing orders, tracking shipments, and maintaining inventory awareness
- Provide general office support and maintain an organized, efficient work environment
- Interact with clients, vendors, and team members in a friendly and effective manner
- Assist the sales team with follow ups, preparing quotes, and supporting sales initiatives
- Identify potential sales opportunities during customer interactions and share them with management
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant administrative experience
- Strong proficiency in email communication and office software (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google Workspace
- Experience with order entry and purchasing systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A strong go-getter attitude and the ability to perform well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Detail oriented, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Interest in developing sales skills and supporting inside sales activities
