We are seeking a full-time Graduate Student Behavior Analyst who is currently enrolled in a graduate program leading to Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) eligibility for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is school-based and works directly under the supervision of a BCBA. The Graduate Student Behavior Analyst supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of ABA-based programs for students with diverse learning and behavioral needs, and assists with training and coaching school staff. This position includes structured mentoring and supervised fieldwork support aligned with certification requirements (as applicable).
Primary Responsibilities
Program Development and Implementation
- Assist the supervising BCBA with program development, skill acquisition programming, and behavior support planning for students in school settings.
- Support assessment activities as directed (record review, interviews, direct observation, data collection).
- Help develop instructional materials and systems (task analyses, visual supports, data sheets, reinforcement systems, routines).
- Support implementation and integrity of individualized programs across school environments (classroom, specials, lunch, recess, transitions).
Data Collection and Analysis
- Collect accurate behavioral and instructional data and ensure data systems are used consistently.
- Support graphing, summarizing, and organizing data for team review and decision-making.
- Assist with preparing progress summaries and documentation for meetings as directed by the supervising BCBA.
Staff Training and Coaching
- Assist with training teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers in behavior support procedures and instructional strategies.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching, modeling, and performance feedback to promote consistent implementation.
- Help create user-friendly training materials and quick reference guides for staff.
Collaboration and Team Support
- Participate in team meetings, consultation meetings, and problem-solving discussions as scheduled.
- Communicate professionally with school teams and families (as appropriate and directed) while maintaining confidentiality.
- Coordinate day-to-day program needs with classroom staff in alignment with the supervising BCBA’s plan.
Mentoring and Professional Growth
- Engage in regular mentoring/supervision meetings with the supervising BCBA.
- Complete assigned readings, reflections, and skill practice tied to professional development goals.
- Track supervised fieldwork hours and tasks as required by your graduate program and certification standards (as applicable).
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field, working toward BCBA eligibility.
- Availability for full-time work in a school setting.
- Basic knowledge of ABA principles and common school-based practices (reinforcement, prompting/fading, functional skills, data collection).
- Strong professionalism, reliability, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in schools, special education classrooms, or with students with developmental disabilities.
- Experience training or coaching staff (formal or informal).
- Familiarity with common assessment tools and program formats used in school settings.
- Experience with electronic data collection systems.
Work Schedule and Setting
- Full-time, school-based schedule aligned to the school day and calendar (details provided during hiring).
- Work occurs across classrooms and school environments and may include movement throughout the building.
Supervision and Support
- Direct oversight and mentoring provided by a supervising BCBA.
- Opportunities for structured feedback, professional development, and supervised fieldwork experiences when appropriate.
Physical and Professional Requirements
- Ability to work actively in a school setting (standing, walking, transitioning between classrooms).
- Ability to respond safely to student behavior as trained and required by school protocols.
