About the Role:

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and overseeing behavior intervention plans to improve the quality of life for individuals with behavioral challenges. This position involves conducting thorough behavioral assessments, analyzing data, and developing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs. The BCBA collaborates closely with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective application of behavioral strategies across environments. Additionally, the role requires ongoing supervision and training of behavior technicians and support staff to maintain high standards of care. Ultimately, the BCBA is responsible for driving positive behavioral outcomes through ethical, data-driven practices and continuous professional development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Master’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology, education, or a related field.
  • Experience conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans.
  • Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and ethical guidelines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required state licensure or certification for practicing as a BCBA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with diverse populations including children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities.
  • Previous experience supervising and training Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
  • Familiarity with data collection software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Additional certifications or training in related therapeutic approaches or educational strategies.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the causes and functions of challenging behaviors.
  • Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment data and best practice guidelines.
  • Provide direct supervision and training to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other support staff to ensure fidelity of intervention implementation.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and promote generalization of skills.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to monitor client progress and make data-driven adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and comply with ethical and regulatory standards governing behavior analysis practice.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with advances in applied behavior analysis (ABA) research and methodologies.

The BCBA utilizes advanced analytical skills daily to interpret behavioral data and adjust intervention strategies accordingly, ensuring effective treatment outcomes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with clients, families, and professionals, as well as for training and supervising support staff. Organizational skills are critical for managing multiple cases, maintaining accurate documentation, and complying with regulatory requirements. The ability to apply ethical decision-making guides all aspects of practice, ensuring client dignity and professional integrity. Additionally, proficiency with technology, including data collection tools and software, enhances the efficiency and accuracy of behavioral assessments and progress monitoring.

Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
