School Social Worker (Grades 9-12)

Location: Norwalk, CTJob Type: Full-Time, High School Grades 9–12Schedule: Monday–Friday, school-day hoursWeekly pay: $1,750 – $1,925, based on experienceSchool-year contract with potential for renewalAbout the RoleWe are seeking a committed and student-centered School Social Worker to support high school students in grades 9–12. The ideal candidate will provide direct counseling services, collaborate with staff and families, and play a key role in fostering a safe, supportive school environment that promotes academic and emotional success.Key Responsibilities:Provide individual and group counseling for students in need of social, emotional, or behavioral support.Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans.Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address student needs.Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community resources.Participate in crisis intervention, safety planning, and restorative practices.Support IEP and 504 processes as needed.Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.Qualifications:Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health-related field, such as Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work preferred.CT School Social Worker Certification (071) required.Prior experience in a school or youth-serving setting preferred.Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively with high school students and diverse families.How to Apply:Please submit your resume and a short cover letter highlighting your experience and certification.About AB Staffing Solutions:AB Staffing Solutions LLC is a nationwide leader in travel nurse and Healthcare Staffing.
