- Identify, evaluate, and track pipeline of opportunities for improvement in conjunction with site SHE coordinator(s) related to safety, health, and environmental improvements and their impact to cost savings, avoidance, or reduction in carbon footprint
- Conduct daily review of plant performance with plant team.
- Ensure process of root cause and corrective action when below targets.
- For larger problems, identify problem statement and action CI toolkit for ultimate resolution.
- Perform rigorous data analysis using statistics techniques such as mean, standard deviation, variation, USL/LSL, correlation, hypothesis testing, probabilities, etc.
- Identify waste streams & eliminate defects
- Initiate and lead improvement projects using PDCA or DMAIC process with cross-functional project teams
- Conduct quarterly training with the plant team including leadership and operators on continuous improvement techniques
- Lead Kaizen events
- Support other manufacturing sites in their continuous improvement efforts (up to 40% requirements).
- Develop and perform cost comparisons of alternate processes, parts, coding, equipment, or systems within operations and justification analysis.
- Track improvement opportunities and actions requested of the plant, PIT Crew, and from outside resources.
- Recommend measures to improve equipment efficiency, output, and product quality
- Collaborates with other similar manufacturing facilities to strive for best-in-class execution across the region and share best practices on a routine basis.
- Evaluate existing procedures and recommend ways to improve the operations efficiency.
- Create projects to standardize procedures.
- Ensure that standards for quality and food safety are exemplified and observed.
- Comply with corporate HR policy and procedures.

A COMBINATION OF THE LISTED skills and knowledge IS PREFERRED
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field of study.
- Experience in manufacturing plant in areas of maintenance, process, utilities, and facility management or relevant work experience. Preferred 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Formal Training/certificate in lean six sigma with at least 1-year continuous improvement experience or equivalent (Black belt most preferred)
- Knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards highly preferred.
