A Mother-and-daughter owned gifting brand is seeking a Product Design and Development Manager to support the evolution of its brand. As the Product Design and Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in developing new innovative products and improving already existing ones. You’ll be responsible for the process from conception to execution and work cross-functionally with multiple teams to successfully bring them to market. 

Responsibilities: 

• Ideate and develop creative and innovative product concepts - from product to packaging design, we want to see it all! 

• Develop and spearhead product roadmap 

• Using market research, develop thoughtful plans of improving existing products to meet the evolving needs of the customer.

• Trend forecasting: Discover trends, conduct competitor and market analysis by talking to customers, completing surveys and more

• Manage team of designers and provide guidance on artwork, renderings and design process

• Support photoshoot ideation and asset design process

• Ad hoc projects 

• Think quickly to troubleshoot problems, communicate clearly and collaboratively

• Be creative and have fun! Having a professional, can-do attitude with a sense of urgency will go a long way

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Dependable work ethic - you see a project through from start to finish

• A positive attitude -  you see challenge as a growth opportunity

• Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to work in a startup environment with a goal to be disruptive to the gifting industry - you are a self-starter that knows how to lead a team

• A bachelor's degree in product design, or a related field

• Good taste and an eye for design - you’re both analytical and creative, and obsess the details 

• Highly proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign - you will be managing the design process 

• Food and gifting industry experience - bonus!
