Duties
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, shippers, and clients to facilitate B2B sales and account management.
- Coordinate freight shipments using transportation management systems (TMS), EDI, and AS400 platforms to ensure timely deliveries.
- Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with carriers and clients to maximize profitability while maintaining high service standards.
- Manage dispatching, data entry, and tracking of shipments to ensure accurate logistics operations aligned with FDA regulations and compliance standards.
- Generate leads through proactive outreach, lead generation strategies, and inside sales efforts to expand the customer base.
- Oversee transportation planning, carrier sales, and logistics sales initiatives to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Utilize CRM software to manage customer relationships, monitor sales pipelines, and track performance metrics effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management, or logistics sales within a 3PL (third-party logistics) or NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) environment.
- Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), EDI, AS400, and CRM software tools.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations in freight or logistics sales.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations related to freight handling and transportation compliance.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately, manage dispatching tasks efficiently, and handle transportation planning with precision.
- Exceptional communication skills for customer relationship management and inside sales activities.
