Job Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Behavioral Health Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with diverse behavioral health needs. You will work closely with clients who may have developmental disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder, ensuring they receive respectful and effective support in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior management plans using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behaviors.
- Conduct intake assessments and document medical records accurately following HIPAA guidelines to maintain confidentiality.
- Support clients during crisis situations through crisis management and intervention strategies, ensuring safety for all involved.
- Collect data on client behaviors and progress to inform treatment plans and facilitate ongoing evaluation of care effectiveness.
- Collaborate with social workers, medical staff, and family members to develop comprehensive care approaches tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and records using medical terminology to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or related conditions.
- Strong crisis intervention and crisis management skills to de-escalate challenging situations effectively.
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles, behavior management techniques, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
