We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for our primary care practices in Northampton and Amherst, MA. This role blends patient care (70% clinical) with administrative leadership (30%) to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered services, support provider development, and advance practice transformation.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead clinical standards, quality improvement, and patient safety programs
- Mentor, evaluate, and support providers; foster professional development
- Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee risk management and service recovery
- Optimize workflows, staffing, and care delivery models for efficiency and access
- Drive population health, value-based care, and payer-facing initiatives
- Use EHR data and analytics to improve outcomes and operational performance
- Enhance patient experience and implement service recovery strategies
Compensation & benefits:
- Salary $250,000–$300,000 plus bonuses

Requirements:
- MD or DO with active Massachusetts license or willingness to obtain one
- Board certified or eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- 2–5 years of outpatient primary care experience
- Demonstrated clinical leadership and strong communication skills
- Prior Medical Director or lead physician experience preferred
- Experience with population health, payer programs, or practice transformation
- Training in leadership, quality improvement, or informatics is a plus
