Clinical responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive overnight care for adult inpatients
- Admit patients from the Emergency Department and manage inpatient admissions
- Perform history and physical examinations and develop appropriate plans of care
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions encountered overnight
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and urgent clinical needs
- Coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, and daytime hospitalists to ensure seamless transitions
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active West Virginia medical license
