Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive overnight care for hospitalized adult patients
- Admit and manage patients from the Emergency Department
- Perform history and physical examinations and develop treatment plans
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Respond to overnight clinical changes and urgent needs
- Coordinate with specialists, nursing staff, and daytime hospitalists to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active West Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; commitment to patient-centered care
