Key Responsibilities
- Provide diagnosis and management of acute and chronic kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and other renal conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Manage dialysis patients and coordinate dialysis-related care with multidisciplinary teams
- Collaborate with primary care and specialty colleagues to ensure patient-centered care transitions and follow-up
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical record documentation
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows; participate in clinical education activities
- Engage in quality improvement and relevant academic initiatives
Qualifications
- MD or DO (or foreign equivalent)
- Completion of accredited Internal Medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology
- Eligible for an unrestricted West Virginia medical license
- Commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, and medical education
