Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Senior Vice President, Office of Inclusive Impact leads the organization’s enterprise inclusion vision and strategy across the workforce, workplace, and community. This role defines actionable inclusion frameworks and scalable priorities that integrate inclusion principles throughout business units and decision-making processes. The Senior Vice President serves as a key strategic advisor to executive leadership, anticipating emerging inclusion trends and shaping enterprise priorities accordingly. The position provides enterprise-wide leadership to drive inclusive practices, enhance visibility, and influence business strategy while managing organizational resources and the execution of inclusion initiatives through the Office of Inclusive Impact.
Responsibilities:
  • Set and lead the enterprise inclusion vision and strategy, integrating inclusion priorities across the workforce, workplace, and community and embedding them directly into enterprise and business strategies.
  • Provide consultative partnership to business units, embedding inclusion principles in planning cycles—while seeding, coordinating, and aligning inclusion initiatives across enterprise functions for scalable impact.
  • Anticipate and interpret emerging inclusion trends and use those insights to advise executive leadership and adjust enterprise priorities to sustain impact and relevance.
  • Own prioritization frameworks and resource allocation for the Office of Inclusive Impact, directing where people, time, and budget are deployed to advance both ongoing and emerging initiatives.
  • Lead the function and budget—recruit, develop, and manage staff performance; oversee budget development, justification, and monitoring—to ensure operational excellence
  • Drive enterprise level program and stakeholder management, overseeing multiple high visibility initiatives at varying stages and ensuring delivery against agreed outcomes.
  • Establish governance, accountability, and measurement, embedding inclusion goals in enterprise scorecards and executive metrics and delivering clear reports and insights to senior leadership and the Board.
  • Serve as the organization’s internal and external ambassador for inclusive impact, advancing visibility and positioning through public engagement and enterprise representation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience managing large, complex teams, with a demonstrated ability to develop, and coach senior‑level talent.
  • Proven expertise in enterprise‑level strategy development and execution, including integrating inclusion priorities into organizational planning and business strategies.
  • Experience partnering with executive and senior leadership across an enterprise, influencing decision‑making and aligning cross‑functional stakeholders around shared inclusion goals.
  • Strong budget stewardship, including oversight of multimillion‑dollar budgets, resource prioritization frameworks, and allocation of people, time, and funding.
  • Deep knowledge of audience segmentation strategies, data resources, and multicultural marketing concepts, with the ability to apply insights to organizational programs and engagement.
  • Demonstrated success designing, implementing, and scaling inclusive programs and practices, including taking initiatives from pilot to organization‑wide adoption, while leveraging measurement methodologies and impact evaluation to maintain long term sustainability.
  • Track record of representing an organization internally (including executive level engagement) and externally, translating inclusion strategy into compelling narratives that strengthen visibility, credibility, and engagement.

Hybrid Work Environment


AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.
