The Data Science Manager develops scalable algorithms and methods to provide real-time recommendations. Builds data pipelines and oversees the implementation of algorithms for classification and regression, such as decision trees/random forests, logistic regression, linear regression, etc. Collaborates with management to identify opportunities to streamline data processes and to develop new procedures that support the business unit/department.
- Performs key analytic activities (test design/evaluations, incrementality/attribution, journey analytics, etc.) to generate insights.
- Manages intake and output process for technical and non-technical internal audiences requesting analytic projects. Develops scalable algorithms and methods to provide audience segmentation recommendations.
- Utilizes data engineering procedures to feature engineer, move data, and automate products.
- Provides education and training to department staff. Provides direct oversight and executes research. Assists in the development, maintenance, and monitoring of best practices.
- Writes code proficiently to generate answers to analytic inquiries.
- Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline required or 5 years of equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in open-source programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Sas).
- Strong experience in database manipulation, navigation, and data extraction.
- Demonstrated experience in predictive modeling and machine learning.
- Experience with digital marketing platforms and multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
- Ph.D
- Experience with artificial intelligence (AI).
- Experience working with big data technologies.
